Edinburgh has no berth in the city itself: ships use Leith, Newhaven or anchor off South Queensferry under the bridges, all of them twenty minutes or so from the centre. The Royal Mile from the castle down to Holyrood is the day, and the climb up Arthur's Seat is the better view.
