Harbor views, aquarium exhibits, and Fort McHenry.
Baltimore offers a harbor-side pause, the National Aquarium, or Fort McHenry’s waterfront history. Pick one focus and arrange the connection from Cruise Maryland Terminal. A hotel or attraction at the Inner Harbor is useful for a city stay, but it is not where you join the ocean cruise.

Option 1
Choose a plan for the stops, food, walking and extra costs. Before sailing, arrange luggage storage and follow your cruise line’s check-in window and final boarding deadline. On a port call, use the ship’s all-aboard time to set your return.

Local tip
Ask locally before extending the walk. Visit Baltimore places its visitor center at 401 Light Street on the west shore of the promenade. Our suggestion: use it to check current conditions before adding another neighborhood.

Give the fort a visit of its own
Focus on the visitor center and available Star Fort areas, with a waterfront pause only if your activity time allows.

Park closing means leaving the grounds. NPS distinguishes building closing from the time the park gates close. Our suggestion: plan to be outside before the applicable closing time as well as ahead of your ship deadline.

Short plans need up to 4 hours in total, medium up to 6, long more than 6. A plan with a connection still to confirm has no total.
Select a terminal or place to see its location and open directions.
Open Baltimore Visitor Center in Google Maps
Choose a place for its location, then open Google Maps for directions. Confirm the terminal on your cruise documents; a map result does not establish your ship’s berth or an accessible route.
Our suggestion: save the McComas Street entrance and arrange a taxi or booked transfer for both directions. Do not assume an attraction bus, water taxi or rail stop delivers you to the cruise passenger gate.
Our suggestion: use current road conditions and the port’s directions for your travel date. Neither an airport landing time nor a map estimate establishes a boarding-day arrival guarantee.
At BWI, airport taxis load on the Arrivals/Lower Level near Doors 5 and 13. Rideshare pickup uses the outer curb on the Departures/Upper Level between Doors 5 and 12. Set Cruise Maryland Terminal as the destination, not the Inner Harbor.

Prefer an organized outing in Baltimore? Browse tours with Viator, then check the exact meeting point, departure, inclusions and cancellation terms before booking.
Tour duration is only part of your time ashore. Allow for getting to the meeting point, early check-in, any transfers outside the tour and your return reserve. Confirm the ship’s clock, all-aboard time and any earlier last tender. These results have not been checked against your sailing.
